With all the excitement over Christmas I completely forgot to post about my new Blythe doll. After much careful web research I decided to take a day off from work and go to Brighton to purchase my Blythe. Very few shops sell them in the UK but I managed to buy a mini Blythe in Forbidden Planet, London, in 2006. Nasty Nip in Brighton stock a couple of different Blythe dolls and I wanted to see them before I decided which one to buy. The guy in the shop was lovely and helpful and showed me all his stock, including accessories. I bought Save the Animals Blythe, an extra set of clothes and glasses. Now Blythe sits on the mantlepiece waiting for me to make her some new clothes!

Blythe is currently holding a pumpkin pin I was lucky enough to win from Mandy at sewSpun. I love the colours and the feel of the felt Thanks Mandy!

I was very excited to find this competition today. I have already made a start on mine. And I’ve set up a group on flickr for anyone who wants to join in the fun!
